Affirmations Are The Shit

You guys. Affirmations. Yesssss. I hope everyone reading this already knows this information and is using it daily, but in case you don't, let me break it down for you.

What are affirmations?
According to the internet, affirmations are positive, specific statements that help you to overcome self-sabotaging, negative thoughts. They help you visualize, and believe in, what you're affirming to yourself, helping you to make positive changes to your life and career. Long story short, they are bad ass and you should get your mind to affirming.

To me, affirmations are intentional statements you make to yourself. If we are already living under the assumption that our thoughts create our reality, then it makes sense that you would want to intentionally be thinking the best shit, right? The subconscious mind is very powerful and wants to support you in any way possible. If you feed your mind terrible thoughts, you will likely find negativity around every corner that supports those thoughts. If you utilize affirmations and positive thinking, you can certainly expect to find your life changes for the better.

Give me an example. 
Examples of affirmations are endless. Here are a few that I have found over the years to be quite beneficial for me.

1. Money comes to me frequently and abundantly. I am grateful for my financial abundance. (Shout out to my mom, I don't know where she got this one but I learned it from her.)
2. I do wonderful work in a wonderful way, with and for wonderful people for wonderful pay. (Shout out Florence Scovel Shinn The Complete Works.)
3. I love and approve of myself. (Shout out Louise Hay. You can heal your life. She's so fantastic.) 

Helpful Tips: 
When creating your affirmations, be sure that you are putting out into the universe exactly what you desire. Definitely be specific on what you want and when you expect it by if applicable. 

Always speak as if it has happened or is happening. Instead of saying "I will get a new job" focus on "I get a wonderful new job by (date)" 

"They" say to always speak in positives rather than negatives (for example, instead of focusing on the affirmation "I don't get hurt when exercising" you could rephrase that to something like "my body is strong and healthy and I exercise with ease." If that is something you want to manifest.)

Be grateful! Always thank the universe/God/your Angels/etc. for the gifts you receive and the gifts you plan to receive.
