Who You Surround Yourself With...
One of my favorite quotes comes from motivational speaker Jim Rohn (or so the internet claims.) "We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with."
What a powerful idea.
In even more general terms, let's say maybe it doesn't have to be exactly 5 people. Just, the people you surround yourself with. That is kind of "who you are" right? This thought is a play on the Proverb "bad company corrupts good character." I heard my mother say that more than once when I was growing up. Jen Sincero says in her book You Are a Badass (omg it's so good, buy this immediately) "The people you surround yourself with are excellent mirrors for who you are and how much, or how little, you love yourself."
If this were true for you, what thoughts might you have about those 5 people? Would you be proud? Want to swap some of them out for others? Would you feel confident they were supporting you in your best life?
What comes up for you when you consider this quote?
